If you're curious, here's what I'm up to this week...
Binging: Someone Knows Something, the true crime podcast from CBC Radio. It's so good. I can't believe I've been missing out on it. I started listening on Sunday and -- fingers crossed -- I'll be all caught up before episode ten airs this Sunday.
Reading: The latest issue of Hot Pod, of course! In this week's edition, Nick Quah writes about the podcasts that are turning into TV shows and the TV shows that are turning into podcasts. Plus, there's news about MTV's new shows (I haven't listened yet, but their first episodes are on Soundcloud!).
Watching: This great clip from The Dinner Party Download's recent episode, titled Jessica Williams on Fake News, Podcasting, and Her Therapist. The co-host of 2 Dope Queens talks hilariously about her work at The Daily Show and at WNYC's fantastic new comedy podcast.
Following: The incredibly funny writer and Pop Culture Happy Hour panelist Glen Weldon on Twitter. He has been killing it lately. This tweet from yesterday morning made me laugh out loud for probably five minutes. This one from a couple of days ago, too.
Hearing: Eliza Starting at 16, the fascinating new show from a New York City teenager about her adolescent life (think the politics of Instagram, the stress of the SATs, and high school breakups). It's really well-made, and not just for a sixteen-year-old.
Learning: So many fascinating bits about pigeons in this great episode from 99% Invisible. Did you know pigeons and doves are pretty much the same birds? Also, the reason many of them are one-footed really surprised me.
What are you up to this week? Anything exciting on your radar?
