I heard so many great podcast episodes today it's tough to choose a favorite, but I think the brand new episode from The Longest Shortest Time -- Terry Gross on Not Having Kids [April 20, 38 minutes] -- wins the battle. It's an incredible interview. Host Hillary Frank throws some really tough and personal questions at Fresh Air's Terry Gross, and her answers are honest, thoughtful, and inspiring. She talks about growing up with great (but not super affectionate) parents, her decision to prioritize her career over having a family, and her role as a feminist pioneer in the radio world. I've been listening to Fresh Air on NPR for years and have never before heard an interview with Terry Gross in the hot seat. It was a fascinating listen, and it was definitely the best thing I heard all day.
